Video: With a strong statement, Moicano demands a performance bonus, but ends up ignored by the UFC

The Brazilian put on a show last weekend and, despite his incisive request, he didn't receive the 'jackpot' after beating Alexander Hernandez

He was summoned, but he didn't take it. This sentence summarizes the reality of Renato Moicano after his show at UFC 271. After a great performance last weekend, and confirming his good moment at lightweight (up to 70,3kg), the Brazilian went to the microphone and asked, loudly, for one of the performance bonuses. The moment was recorded by the athlete on his social networks.

“You know what I would like to see next (after beating Hernandez)? A big performance check. I submitted two guys in less than two minutes a few times ago and they didn't give me any money. I have a child to raise, bills to pay and a life to live”, said Renato, in an interview with Daniel Cormier.

After presenting the initial arguments, the Brazilian addressed the audience, who applauded the athlete's statement. Visibly excited, the fighter also sent a message to the president of Ultimate.

“I heard here in Texas you guys like big performances and I like big checks. Let's go. Follow me on social media. Come on, Dana White. Renato Moicano wants money”, he concluded.

Even with the attack, Moicano was not included in the list of winners after the show. The beneficiaries of the dreamed US$50 thousand (more than R$260 thousand) were Douglas D' Silva, Sergey Morozov, Tai tuivasa e Jared Cannonier.
