About to face Phil Davis, Lyoto Machida demonstrated that his thoughts remain on regaining the light heavyweight title. At the UFC Rio 4 press conference, this Thursday (1), Lyoto said he was disappointed at not fighting for the belt despite being the number one contender in the category and stated that he will confirm his status at this Saturday's event.

“Of course I was a little frustrated. Because it's the second time I've gotten this chance and I wasn't given the chance to fight for the belt. So I want, this Saturday now, to really confirm that I am prepared to fight for the belt”, said the former light heavyweight champion.
