“I am furious at the disrespect the UFC has shown me on this card. We need to wait four months and then I'm in the shit of the preliminary. This has incited so much anger in me that I am going to make a statement. I'm fired up by this. I’m nervous, motivated and eager to make a statement,” said the athlete.

Incredulous with the position of his duel in the event, Hernandez continued to argue about the reason for his anger.

“I'm in my state (Texas), practically in my city. The only guy is Derrick Lewis, and rightly so, he's in the co-main event. But why the hell did they put me in the preliminary? (…) I'm frustrated. I'm going to go up to the octagon and please 15 people in the audience, take my 20 or 30 friends. I’m going to beat (Renato) Moicano, let off steam and say don’t disrespect me again”, he concluded.
