Prestigious commentator on MMA, Chael Sonnen cannot predict the outcome of the main fight of the UFC 271, valid for the middleweight belt (up to 83,9kg.). The former star of the organization, however, understands that Robert whittaker has a good chance of delivering a great challenge to the champion, Israel adesanya, in a long-awaited rematch in the division. In his program, the 'American Gangster' discussed what he expects from the New Zealander.

“I say that Robert whittaker did not appear in the first fight between them. If Whittaker brings his 'tools', he has the ability to make the duel a long and uncomfortable one for the champion,” said Sonnen.

This weekend, the New Zealander will have his second meeting with Adesanya in the Octagon. In the first fight, in 2019, the then lineal champion ended up falling victim to Israel's precision, and ended up being knocked out in the second round.

With the loss to 'Izzy', Whittaker lost the throne. To regain his status as a challenger, Robert had to go through three challenges, winning at every opportunity.
