Undefeated in MMA, Kazakhstan's promise earns 'Performance' bonus at UFC Las Vegas 47

After knocking out Carlston Harris in the first round, Shavkat Rakhmov won the US$50 'Performance' prize; Njokuani and Erosa also received bonuses

The Kazakh Shavkat Rakhmonov had something else to celebrate after the UFC Las Vegas 47, in addition to maintaining its invincibility. Together with Chidi Njōkuani, the welterweight prospect (up to 77,1kg) earned US$50 (around R$266) as a 'Performance of the Night' bonus. julian erosa and Steven Peterson won the 'Fight of the Night' award, but as Steven didn't make weight, Erosa took home the amount that would have corresponded to his rival and ended up US$100 (around R$533) richer.

Undefeated in MMA with a record of 15 wins, Rakhmonov ran over the 'almost Brazilian' Carlston Harris, and won by knockout in the first round. It was the Kazakh's third fight with Ultimate gloves. His previous triumphs were over Brazilians Michel Prazeres and Alex Cowboy.

Against the Canadian Marc-Andre Barriault, the North American was merciless and in just a few seconds he knocked out his rival in an incredible way. julian erosa and Steven Peterson earned their $50 bonus. In a mind-blowing duel from start to finish, the two athletes opened the event with a flourish and after 15 intense minutes, Erosa emerged victorious, in a split decision from the judges.
