Last Saturday (27), after UFC on FOX 8, Ultimate president Dana White made a point of denying rumors that the organization would add another women's division to its roster. White stated that this is a plan for the future and that at the moment the plan is to develop the existing category.

“We're still building that divide and getting people to know who these girls are. We have to see how this works for a couple of years before (adding new divisions)”, said the director to the website MMA Junkie.

Currently, among women, Ultimate only has the bantamweight division (up to 61 kg), which includes the North American Ronda Rousey as champion. Ronda has already defended her title once, in the category's inaugural fight, against compatriot Liz Carmouche, in February this year, at UFC 157.
