Demetrious Johnson submits Moraga and defends flyweight belt at UFC on FOX 8

Champion had no difficulty imposing his game from the start, dominating his opponent and securing his second title defense

No scares and little emotion! Like this Demetrious Johnson defended the UFC flyweight division belt. The American dominated John Moraga throughout the fight and submitted his rival with an arm-bar at the end of the fifth round. The fight was the main attraction of UFC on FOX 8, an event held this Saturday (27), in Seattle, in the United States.

Known for their intense movement in the octagon, Demetrious Johnson and John Moraga started the duel at a blistering pace. With great speed, the fighters entered the range of action and threw blows at each other. However, despite the balanced start, Demetrious soon showed why he is the category champion.

Halfway through the first round, Johnson showed off his arsenal of takedowns and dominated his challenger in the ground fight. Without finding himself, Moraga struggled to try to escape the champion's efficient work.

History repeated itself in the following robberies. Demetrious Johnson he fell down and John Moraga tried to get up all the time. After four rounds of complete dominance, the champion ended the dispute at the end of the last part.

Speaking just over a minute to the end, Demetrious Johnson left to end the dispute. On top in the ground fight he attacked John Moraga's arm with a Kimura. The challenger still managed to defend himself from the blow, but was surprised by a quick arm-bar and was forced to give up the fight.

The result guaranteed the 18th victory for the champion in the up to 57 kg category. from the UFC.

MacDonald beats Ellenberger in cold fight 

Canadian Rory McDonald and the North American Jake ellenberger entered the Octagon this Saturday, eyeing a chance to fight for the UFC welterweight belt. But the athletes' performance disappointed the public who expected a great fight and could postpone the dream of a possible fight for the title.

In a duel without great emotions, MacDonald worked well on his movement and quick footwork to disrupt his rival's actions. Even without striking hard, the Canadian scored and was not hit by his rival.

After 15 minutes of fighting and many boos from the public,  Rory McDonald won  Jake ellenberger in the unanimous decision of the judges (30×27, 29×28, 30×27).

The athletes' performance was so below expectations that UFC president, Dana White, used Twitter to show his dissatisfaction with the duel. Okay… it wasn’t the fight I thought it was going to be”, the manager published on the microblog.

Lawler wins another

Another highlight of UFC on FOX 8 was the veteran Robbie Lawler. The experienced fighter showed all his striking power and dominated Bobby Voelker. After a first round advantage, Lawler landed a beautiful kick to his opponent's face, 24 seconds into the second round and secured the victory.

The result marked the second victory for Robbie Lawler upon his return to the UFC. Previously, the veteran fighter defeated Josh koscheck in issue 157, in February
