After facing Whindersson, Popó asks to fight José Aldo under boxing rules

Back in the ring after more than four years of inactivity, Acelino Popó Freitas had a great performance in the exhibition fight against Whindersson Nunes. Star in Fight Music Show, held this Sunday (30), in Balneário Camboriú (SC), the legendary boxer seems to be willing to continue with the challenges in the 'noble art'. After punishing the youtuber for eight rounds, the four-time world champion proposed a clash against an MMA icon.

“In the United States there are a lot youtuber challenging boxing fighters, but there are a lot of people from MMA, UFC fighters. Why doesn't it happen here? One of the best in my category is called José Aldo. Come here to my ring”, challenged Popó, in an interview after the duel, drawing applause from the audience present at the show.

At 46 years old, Acelino showed that he is still capable of generating great challenges in boxing. A national idol, the athlete had great moments against Whindersson and was close to knocking out the comedian at the end of the confrontation.

As it was a festive clash, there was no winner. After 16 minutes of fighting, the judges decided to rule the fight as a draw.

MMA legend, José Aldo has not yet expressed itself after Popó's proposal. The former Ultimate champion, however, never hid his passion for the 'noble art'.
