Bellator opens the 2022 season, this Saturday (29), with the unification of the heavyweight title (up to 120,3kg). The linear champion Ryan bader faces Russian Valentin Moldavsky, owner of the interim title, and pupil of the legend Fedor Emelianenko. The fight will be the main attraction of Bellator 273, which will be held in Phoenix (USA).
In the second most important fight of Bellator 273, the former UFC champion, Ben henderson tries to recover from a negative streak. Coming from three defeats in a row, the 'Wolf Boy' faces the dangerous Islam Mamedov.
No Brazilians on the card
Brazil would have two representatives on the Bellator 273 fight program. But Fabrício Franco, who would face compatriot Weber Almeida, exceeded the 65,7kg limit of the featherweight division by 3kg and was not allowed to continue on the show. As a result, the country is left without representatives at the attraction.
