Former champion and considered one of the biggest names in the history of the UFC lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg), Khabib Nurmagomedov He chose to hang up his gloves in 2020, still undefeated in professional MMA with 29 victories. Today as “big boss”, the Russian is betting on his experience as an athlete to do the best job possible, starting with the inauguration of new weight divisions, which according to him was a recurring demand among fighters.
“I understand the game from the inside. I have been a professional fighter for the last 12 years and have heard from many fighters that they want weight divisions like 70,1kg, 74,8kg, 79,3kg and 83,9kg. When I started Eagle FC, I thought 'why not? Let’s build a new story’”.
