Recently retired, Brian Stann replaces Joe Rogan as commentator at UFC Rio 4

Former fighter will join the team for the official Ultimate broadcast in English

After announcing the end of his career as a fighter to dedicate himself to his family and work on television, Brian Stann has already received his first big challenge in his new role: being the commentator for the official UFC Rio 4 broadcast in the United States. Stann will replace Joe Rogan, who performs the activity regularly at pay-per-view Organization.

The information was released in this Tuesday's edition (23) of the program “UFC Tonight”, on the North American cable channel FUEL TV. Stann's companion on the fight night broadcast will be Mike Goldberg, Ultimate's main narrator and host of the “UFC Unleashed” program.

Brian Stann, 32 years old, ended his career with a record of 12 wins and six losses. In his last fight, the former WEC middleweight champion staged one of the most electrifying fights of the year so far against Wanderlei Silva, at UFC Japan, in March.

UFC 163, also known as UFC Rio 4, takes place on August 3, at the HSBC Arena. In the main event of the night, the featherweight champion José Aldo puts his belt on the line against “Korean zombie” Jung Chang-Sung. The co-main fight pits the light heavyweights face to face Lyoto Machida e Phil Davis.
