The participant of the first edition of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil Reneé Forte is another Brazilian confirmed for UFC 165, which takes place in September, in Canada. Through its official Facebook profile, Ultimate announced that Reneé will face the home athlete John makdessi.
The lightweight is the third athlete from Brazil scheduled for the event – which already includes the interim flyweight champion Renan Barao, who defended the title against the North American Eddie Wineland in the co-main fight of the night, and with Michel “Trator” Prazeres, who faces Mark Bocek.
Reneé Forte has a record of eight wins and two losses. The fighter, who participated in TUF Brazil as a middleweight, dropped down a category for the second time and achieved his first victory in the UFC against Terry emo - in February. Already John makdessi, his opponent, has a record of 11 wins and two losses. The Canadian won his last two UFC fights.
UFC 165 takes place on September 21st, at Air Canada Center, in Toronto (Canada). In the main fight of the night, the light heavyweight champion and leader of the UFC pound-for-pound rankings Jon Jones puts his belt on the line against the Swede Alexander Gustafson.
