Defeated by Blachowicz, Adesanya advises Whittaker not to be inspired by a stumble against the Pole

Executioner of Robert whittaker in 2019, Israel adesanya has important advice for the Australian before the rematch for the middleweight belt (up to 83,9kg) at UFC 271, which takes place on February 12th. Defeated by Jan Blachowicz in 2020, the Nigerian recommends that the former champion not be inspired by his setback to the Pole. For 'Izzy', the strategy could be a serious mistake.

“If he (Whittaker) thinks that someone showed a way to defeat me, he is deluded,” said Adesanya, in an excerpt published by 'The Mac Life'.

On February 12, Adesanya will try to confirm his fourth title defense. So far, the Nigerian is undefeated in the category.

In 2020, Israel's attempt to win a second Ultimate title was frustrated. On that occasion, the fighter moved up to light heavyweight (up to 93kg) to face the then champion Blachowicz. 'Izzy' was unsuccessful and ended up being beaten by the Pole on points, losing his unbeaten record in MMA.

Former middleweight champion, Whittaker returns to the octagon to try to regain the group's throne. After losing to Adesanya in 2019, the Australian proved that he was not shaken by the setback. After the stumble, Robert added three positive results in a row and resumed his status as challenger.
