Sertanejo is looking for his third victory in the UFC
The featherweight Geoffrey Pepey injured his knee and had to withdraw from the match against Sam Sicilia at UFC Combate 3, an event that takes place on September 4th, in Belo Horizonte. The organization, however, acted quickly and has already selected a replacement. The paulista Felipe Sertanejo will be the North American opponent on the show.
Interestingly, Sertanejo was the last executioner of Pepey in the UFC. They faced each other in June, when Felipe won by TKO on the preliminary card of the TUF Brasil 2 Finale. This was Sertanejo's second victory in the organization – he had already beaten Antonio Pato Carvalho at UFC Rio 2. The Chute Boxe athlete from São Paulo also has a draw against Miltinho Vieira and a defeat against Iuri Marajó. All of Sertanejo's fights in the UFC took place in Brazil.
the american Sam Sicilia was revealed on TUF 15 and officially debuted in the UFC by knocking out Cristiano Marcello in the TUF 15 Finale. Then Sertanejo's next rival was knocked out by Ron Jason at UFC Rio 3 and took a decision against Venezuelan Maximo Blanco, at TUF 17 Finale.
UFC No Combate 3 will be held in Belo Horizonte on September 4th. The event will be led by the confrontation between Glover Teixeira e Ryan bader, valid for the light heavyweight division.
