The witch remains at large among the athletes scheduled for UFC Rio 4. This Thursday (18), it was the turn of North American Clint Hester to get injured and leave the event card. Hester would face Cézar Mutante on fight night. To replace him, the organization announced the Brazilian Thiago “Marreta” Santos.
Interestingly, the three athletes recently participated in the The Ultimate Fighter. Clint Hester was the coach's first choice Jon Jones on TUF 17. Cézar Mutante and Thiago Marreta they were part of the cast of the Brazilian edition of the reality show. Mutante won TUF Brasil 1 in the middleweight category and Marreta participated, as a welterweight, in the second season of the program in the country.
Mutante, 28 years old, has a record of five wins and two losses. The fight in Rio will mark the first fight for the athlete, who suffered from repeated injuries, after winning the TUF Brazil title. At 29 years old, Marreta will also make his UFC debut. The Rio native has a record of 8 wins and just one defeat.
