José Maria Sem Chance debuts at UFC Rio 4 against John Lineker

Flyweight undefeated for five years receives the opportunity to fight in the biggest event in the world

The wait for one of the longest undefeated Brazilians in MMA is over. Flyweight José Maria Sem Chance finally received his opportunity to fight in the biggest event in the world. He will replace Englishman Phil Harris and face compatriot John Lineker at UFC Rio 4. The UFC has not yet made the fight official, but “Sem Chance”'s profile already appears on the organization's official website.

“No Chance”, from Ceará from Limoeiro do Norte, 31 years old, has a record of 33 wins, three losses and two fights without result. He represents the RFT team and has been undefeated for five years. During this time, the fighter won 17 fights and saw the fight against Francisco Carrasco turn I didn't answer after an illegal goal kick. In his last performance, in May, he submitted Milton Tattoo in the final seconds of the first round.

Lineker from Paraná is going to his fourth fight in the UFC. He debuted by being submitted by Louis Gaudinot, but bounced back with dominant wins over Yasuhiro Urushitani and Azamat Gashimov. At 22 years old, Lineker has a record of 21-6.

UFC Rio 4, officially called UFC 163, will be held on August 3rd and will feature a featherweight title fight between the champion José Aldo and the challenger Chun Sung Jung, the Korean zombie.
