Considered one of the most promising flyweights (up to 56,7 kg) on the UFC roster, Matheus Nicolau has a confirmed date and opponents to return to the Octagon. The Brazilian faces David Dvorak at an event scheduled for March 26th, in the city of Columbus, in the United States. Ultimate announced the fight this Wednesday (12).

In addition to the duel between Matheus Nicolau e David Dvorak, the UFC announced, for the same event, the fight between Joanne Wood e Alexa grasso, also valid for flyweight (up to 56,7 kg). The two would face each other in UFC Las Vegas 43, in November 2021, but Grasso had to leave the card for undisclosed reasons.
Eighth placed in the flyweight rankings, Matheus Nicolau He is experiencing his second stint in the UFC. The Brazilian arrived at the organization in 2015 and won his first three fights, but ended up being released shortly after his first defeat, in July 2018, when the flyweight division had an uncertain future in the organization.
Matheus was rehired in 2021 after winning two fights outside the organization and has two more good results inside the octagon, beating Manel kape and Tim Elliot.
Tenth place in the ranking, David Dvorak He is also enjoying a great moment in the UFC. The Czech debuted in the organization in March 2020 and has won the three fights he has had since then. With a professional record of 20 wins and just three losses, Dvorak has not lost a fight since May 2012.
