“Seeing those two fight (Glover and Blachowicz) was a pleasure. I'm very happy for Glover. Both are great. I love these two as fighters and colleagues. I'm just happy to see them doing their thing. Seeing Glover with the belt, if there is anyone who is worth it and deserves it, it is him”, said 'The Mauler'.
Glover and Gustafsson faced each other in May 2017, in the main event of UFC Sweden. The Swede dominated the fight from start to finish and won with a knockout in the fifth round. The triumph guaranteed 'The Mauler' a new opportunity to face the then champion Jon Jones.
Away from the Octagon since July 2020, the Swede even announced his retirement, but then went back and decided to resume his career. Alex even had a fight scheduled against the Scotsman Paul Craig, however, he was injured and the fight had to be cancelled. In a bad phase in his career, with three defeats in his last fights, the former challenger has an MMA record of 18 victories and seven setbacks.
