After a bad experience in the flyweight division, Cody Garbrandt reiterates his interest in facing Sean O'Malley

'No Love' reveals he is willing to return to the roosters to measure strength against 'Suga'

The rivalry between cody garbrandt e Sean O'Malley, rekindled at the press conference before the UFC 269, you could get a new chapter. 'No Love', which ended up defeated by Kai Kara France in the first round of experience in the flyweight division (up to 56,7kg), he stated that he wanted to 'resolve issues' against 'Suga' in the octagon. He even admits to returning to bantamweight (up to 61,2kg) for the duel.

“There are a lot of good matchups at bantamweight. I really want to spank Sean O'Malley. It's a fight that's looming. Fortunately, this could be my next fight. I want the fight. He might not want to fight me now, because he's in the rankings. It would be a good fight,” said Garbrandt in an interview with 'Rollin with the Homie'.

Former division champion led by aljamain sterling, Cody has won just one of his last six fights in the world's most famous Octagon. In addition to the knockout over Raphael Assunção, the North American was defeated by TJ Dillashaw (twice), Peter Munhoz, Rob font e Kai Kara France. The North American has a record of 12 triumphs and five setbacks in professional MMA.

Before thinking about the next step, however, Sean O'Malley is recovering from an injury suffered to the thumb of his right hand before the fight against Raulian paiva. According to the list of medical suspensions released by the Nevada Athletic Commission, the American could be out until June 2022.
