Nate Diaz provokes Dustin Poirier, says the UFC doesn't want to marry fights and attacks Charles do Bronx

Hours after Poirier practically confirmed the agreement, Nate Diaz said that Ultimate has no interest in promoting the duel

Last Tuesday (04), Dustin poirier stated, in an interview with Teddy Atlas, that he would be very close to closing a deal to face Nate Diaz soon. Hours later, however, Diaz took to social media to deny the agreement and provoke his rival.

On his official Twitter page, Nate diaz, in a provocative tone, said he had contacted the UFC and stated that the organization had no interest in scheduling the duel with Poirier. Furthermore, Nate took the opportunity to provoke the current lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) Charles of the Bronx.

“I just spoke to the UFC, I said 'what about the fight with DP (Dustin poirier)? I want to fight as soon as possible', but they said that Dustin is s*** and that they don't want the fight. Sorry, Dustin, you suck, but I hope to fight as soon as possible. Lets do this. PS: (Charles) Oliveira, you are sh*t too,” wrote Diaz.

One of the most popular fighters on the UFC roster, Nate diaz comes from two consecutive defeats in the octagon, the last one against Leon edwards, UFC 263, in June 2021. The American's last victory came in August 2019, when he defeated the former lightweight champion, Anthony Pettis at UFC 241.

On the other side, Dustin poirier comes from defeat to the champion Charles of the Bronx in a title fight held in UFC 269, in December 2021. Before that, “Diamante” had been enjoying three consecutive victories, two of them over the former champion Conor McGregor.
