The Brazilian has scheduled a confrontation for February (without an official date or location) against Chad Dawson, multiple world boxing champion, in a duel for Triad Combat, which combines MMA and the 'noble art'. Since his last performance, in September, Belfort has never hidden his desire to test himself in a new sport. Returning to combat sports after more than three years of inactivity, the veteran stated in a press conference after beating Evander that he would like to be present in a type of fight that involved MMA and boxing.
At the end of November, Triad Combat kicked off at an event led by Frank mir, former UFC star. On that occasion, the veteran took to the ring to face Kubrat Pulev, but ended up badly knocked out.
In February 2022, Belfort, 44 years old, will fulfill another dream within mixed martial arts. Willing to prove himself once again, the fighter will take to the combat arena his experience gained over more than 20 years of career.
Responsible for trying to ruin Vitor's party, Chad Dawson returns to action after more than two years without fighting professionally. As a boxing professional, the 39-year-old fighter has already held world belts in light heavyweight and has 36 victories in 43 appearances.
