Last Saturday (18), Chael Sonnen was involved in a disturbance at a Las Vegas hotel and ended up being detained by police after accusations of assault against a couple. Jon Jones, who months ago was also arrested in Las Vegas for domestic violence, did not let the controversy sparked by his rival of so many years go unnoticed.

Jones and Sonnen have a history of rivalry that began in 2013, when they faced each other for the light heavyweight belt (up to 93 kg). More than eight years later, the two have not become friends and continue to periodically exchange insults to this day.
The rivalry gained another ingredient last Sunday (19), when Jon Jones, who was harshly criticized by Sonnen when accused of domestic violence, commented on the confusion caused by “American Gangster”.
"Chael Sonnen, I'm not going to sit here and celebrate the fact that you received assault charges against a woman last night. That would make me just like you and I'm not like you at all. Instead, I will wish the best to his family and the victim's family as well. It's funny how most of the people who criticize and judge you have some of the most bizarre things in their wardrobes. Whoever has never sinned should cast the first stone. You won't get stones from me. Good luck,” wrote the former light heavyweight champion.
