protagonist of UFC Las Vegas 45, Chris Daukas believes he is ready to take on higher flights in the heavyweight division (up to 120,2kg). In a press conference before the show this Saturday (18), the North American showed respect for Derrick Lewis, his opponent in the main fight, but he assured that he is capable of facing any fighter in the category.

“I’m ready for anyone in the division. It could have been Francis (Ngannou) or Ciryl (Gane) for the belt. I'm ready for any of them. It’s just about planning for the fights,” said Chris.
Even with high confidence about his potential, Daukaus showed a lot of respect for his opponent Derrick Lewis, who has already fought for the belt on two occasions.
“Whoever doesn’t know who he is Derrick Lewis? Yes, I've been watching Derrick Lewis for years. I like him as a fighter, as an individual. I haven't met him, but I like his personality. I find that pleasant. So, I don't have anything bad to say about Derrick, except, you know, we're going to get into a fight, and I really hope to knock him out,” Daukaus said.
Number seven in the heavyweight rankings, Chris has yet to be defeated in four UFC fights. Hired in 2020, Daukaus scored knockouts over parker porter, Rodrigo Zé Colmeia, Aleksei Oleinik and Shamil Abdurakhimov. The fighter has an MMA record of 12 wins and three losses.
