According to reporter Ariel Helwani, Dana White hopes to extend the 'bad boy's' time in the organization; fight against Khamzat Chimaev loses momentum

One fight away from the end of his contract with the UFC, Nate diaz can extend your bond with the organization. According to reporter Ariel Helwani, from 'MMA fighting', or 'bad boy' has advanced negotiations to remain with the company. The situation would have been indicated by the president of Ultimate, Dana White.

“It appears that the UFC has given up on the fight between Khamzat Shimaev e Nate diaz and, as a result, extended the contract of Nate diaz. It seems they predicted this would happen and bought time for when Conor McGregor is ready to return at the end of the year”, said Helwani.

According to the reporter, the new contract is not yet 100% completed.

“Diaz has not yet signed the new contract. It’s a fascinating story to follow next season,” he concluded.
