Charles do Bronx responds to Khabib Nurmagomedov's comments: 'I don't care what he says'

This Saturday (11), Charles of the Bronx defends the lightweight belt (up to 70,3 kg) for the first time against Dustin poirier, in the main fight of the UFC 269. With just a few days left until the long-awaited duel, the Brazilian guarantees that he is focused on the fight and does not pay attention to other people's comments, not even those from the former champion of the category, Khabib Nurmagomedov.

In a recent statement, Khabib bet on Poirier winning over Charles this Saturday. The champion, however, assured that he doesn't care what the Russian has to say.

“I really don't care about this conversation. People can think whatever they want. Every time someone tells me I'm going to lose, I go in there and prove them wrong and come out with the win. To be honest, I don't care what Khabib says. He can say whatever he wants. He’s retired now, so I don’t really care what he has to say,” Charles said in an interview with “The Schmo.”

Charles of the Bronx e Dustin poirier face each other for the lightweight belt in the main fight of the UFC 269, this Saturday, in Las Vegas. In the co-main fight, Amanda nunes puts the bantamweight title on the line against Julianna Pena. The event also features six more Brazilians: Priscila Pedrita, André Sergipano, Bruno Blindado, Augusto Sakai, Peter Munhoz e Raulian paiva.
