José Aldo and Rob Font receive 180 days of medical suspension after duel at UFC Vegas 44

The protagonists of last Saturday's main fight and five other fighters received the maximum hook imposed by the Nevada Athletic Commission

The exciting fight between José Aldo e Rob font at UFC Vegas 44 last Saturday (04), caused a small 'harm' to both athletes. This Tuesday (07), the Nevada Athletic Commission announced that both fighters received 180 days (six months) of medical suspension and should only return to the octagon in mid-2022.

José Aldo has a suspected fracture in the right orbital bone and received 180 days of 'hook', with a minimum period of 30 days, 21 of which without any contact. Rob font received the same period of suspension and also has signs of an injury similar to the Brazilian's and also in the nasal orbit. Both athletes can return to the octagon sooner if they are cleared by a doctor.

the athletes Jimmy crute, Jamahal hill, Brendan allen, Dusko Tudorovic and Alonzo Menifield also received the maximum 180-day suspension from the Nevada Athletic Commission. The hooks of the respective fighters may also end earlier, if approved by a doctor.
