“I think that two very dominant performances, those bloody ones or getting the knockout or the submission, could take me back to the belt. It depends on the opponent. It has to be the perfect combination of the right fighter and the moment in the division. Since I had the opportunity before and I started very well, but I lost by technical knockout. It's harder to get another opportunity, that's the reality. So I have to have a very dominant performance. My training today is based on this, knowing that the next performance has to shock everyone”, said Durinho.

Knocked out by Kamaru Usman in February, the Brazilian redeemed himself with a great performance against Stephen Thompson last July. In his last five fights, the Brazilian athlete suffered just one setback. The fighter has an MMA record of 20 positive results and four negative results.
