Anderson Silva He holds the record for consecutive victories and title defenses in UFC history. He has faced and beaten fourteen different opponents in the Octagon. But none of them were at the level of Chris Weidman, his opponent in the main fight of UFC 162, which will be held next Saturday. At least that's what Ray Longo, football coach, says. kickboxing by Weidman himself.
During his participation in the MMA Hour program, Longo showered his student with praise. “A lot of fighters are saying he (Weidman) will win. They see something in Chris that many people fail to perceive”, began the coach. This boy believes in himself. He worked hard, he dreamed about this his whole life. We are very excited”, analyzed the coach. Ray Longo also guarantees that the age difference between the fighters – Anderson is nine years older – will not make a difference in the clash.
“Can a 40-year-old man stop this talented, strong, big, technical, young, confident kid just by stepping on his head? That's how I see the situation. This guy (Weidman) is a monster. I think age will only be a small factor in the fight. He's really good, it's not bullshit. He is technical, strong, confident, he has the attributes that will make him win the fight. And I think everyone knows that, if the fight goes to the ground, it will be a completely different story”, he concluded.
