After several particular problems and difficulties in reaching the weight of the category, the WEC management decided to renew, this week, the Brazilian's contract Paul Philo with the organization, after its defeat to Chael Sonnen, on November 5th, at WEC-36.
Paulão's manager, Ed Soares, spoke about the reasons for the black belt's departure from the organization:
“They don’t need it,” Soares said. “It was obvious why,” he added.
