Almost four months after his defeat to A. J. McKee No. Bellator 263, Patrick Pitbull still finds the stumble difficult to digest. Legend of the organization chaired by Scott Coker, the fighter once again criticized the performance of referee Mike Beltran, the same professional mentioned by Justin gaethje some weeks ago. According to the potiguar, the driver was hasty in interrupting the confrontation, and explained.

“Last week, I read that Justin gaethje He said that (Mike) Beltran almost cost him $1 million in the fight against (Michael) Chandler. Well, certainly he (the referee) cost me that amount and things that meant more than the Grand Prix prize. Days after the fight (against McKee), I got the full video, replays from other angles, everything. I could see myself moving my left arm and trying to position it underneath AK. The referee arrived on the scene very quickly,” said Pitbull, in an interview with 'MMA Junkie'.
The incident mentioned by Patrício happened right at the beginning of the confrontation, when AJ took advantage of a good moment and tried to end the duel in the first round. With Beltran's interruption, Pitbull, in addition to losing the chance to win the GP, ended up having his featherweight throne (up to 65,7kg) taken by the company's promise.
“Beltran was positioned on the wrong side. He was influenced by McKee's shouting and gestures. Why didn't he stay on the other side looking at my face? Why didn’t he talk to me before interrupting?”, Pitbull concluded.
Considered the biggest name in Bellator history, Patrício is preparing for a reunion with McKee. The rematch, however, has not been confirmed by the organization.
