Dariush's coach, Rafael Cordeiro sees his pupil close to the belt and admits he is waiting for a call from the UFC

Responsible for sharpening weapons Beneil Dariush For his commitments within Ultimate, Rafael Cordeiro is in no rush to see his pupil competing for a company belt. Keeping an eye on the constant evolution of the lightweight category (up to 70,3kg), the coach did not hold back in praising the athlete and, exclusively to the SUPER FIGHTS, said he admitted that the team can wait as necessary for a call from the UFC.

“Beneil wants to fight, putting himself to the test. We have nothing, actually. He wants to fight as soon as possible, but if he has the opportunity to fight for the belt, we can wait a little longer. The boys (Charles of the Bronx e Dustin poirier) are already fighting in December, so in February or March. Whoever held on a little until now, holds on for a few more months for the chance to fight for the belt. He is a boy who doesn’t talk bad about anyone, quiet, a good boy, he comes in to kill or be killed, the way he has to be,” he said.

The compliments don't stop there. Willing to praise Dariush, today, third in the ranking led by Do Bronx, Rafael highlighted the fighter's qualities. The athlete has not lost in seven commitments.

“Beneil is a very difficult fight for anyone. He has very good grappling, a very strong punch, good knees, a very strong kick to the ribs. The boy is Iranian. This one can handle the punishment, which makes him proud. (…) He is doing the right thing. (…) He knows that our time will come,” he concluded.

In a prominent position in the lightweight division, Dariush stepped into the Octagon for the last time in May 2021. On that occasion, the athlete went through Tony Ferguson and expanded his good moment even further.
