In the opinion of Colby covington, he clearly won the main fight of the UFC 268 against Kamaru Usman. In an interview with 'Submission Radio', the American believes he won three of the five rounds and asked for a trilogy against the welterweight champion (under 77,1kg).

“I clearly won this fight 3 to 2 (rounds). The third, fourth and fifth rounds were mine and even if you were looking at a different side of the scope, I think you could see me winning the first round too. It was very close and competitive. After ten rounds, people see what happened. We fought twice. In the ten rounds, in the worst case scenario, I’m winning 6x4,” said Covington.
The controversial fighter reinforced his desire to win the belt in the under-77,1kg division and asked for a third duel against the Nigerian.
“So, I think there needs to be another fight. There needs to be a trilogy if he's going to stick around, if he's going to stick around. After fighting me twice, I think he realized how serious I am and how much I want this belt. So, I don't know if he's willing to be in that Octagon like I am and I'll get my chance to face him again if he doesn't retire first. He can retire and ride off into the sunset. But if not, I'm looking for this trilogy”, concluded Colby.
Number 1 in the welterweight rankings, Covington was defeated in two of his last three fights, both to Usman. At 33 years old, the American has a record of 16 triumphs and three setbacks.
