Rich Franklin wants rematch with Lyoto Machida

Former Ultimate middleweight champion Rich Franklin seems to really want to establish himself in the organization's light heavyweight division. After a good victory over Matt Hamill at UFC-88, the American faces Dan Henderson in UFC-93, but with an eye on another opponent, the Brazilian Lyoto Machida, responsible for his first career defeat.

“I would fight him. The thing about Machida is that he's not an 'appealing' fight in style for me, he's a boring fighter. That's not a problem, it's not. He is very effective, very good at what he does. He's constantly behind and forcing you to make mistakes, and that's how he catches you,” said Rich

“To beat Machida, you have to fight smart, and that will create a situation that is not really exciting for the fans. That would be one reason why the fight is not appealing to me”, he added.
