Free on the market, Kayla Harrison reveals what motivates her when deciding on her future

The two-time PFL champion stated that money is not the most important thing, but that she needs to think about her family's well-being

Free on the market after the end of his contract with the PFL, Kayla harrison made it clear what will weigh on her in deciding her future. The two-time champion of the lightweight tournament (up to 70,3kg) made it clear that money will not be paramount in her choice, but that she needs to think about the well-being of her family. The statement was made in an interview with the channel 'TSN'.

“Legacy is very important to me, it’s the thing for me. I don't fight to be famous, I don't fight to be rich, I don't fight for anything other than wanting to be the best in the world. I love the pursuit of greatness. That's my passion. Being able to use the platform to do good things for the world, that’s what motivates me,” said Kayla.

The judoka emphasized that her decision will depend on the well-being of her family and that this will greatly influence her choice.

“My life has also changed drastically in the last year and a half. I have other responsibilities now that I have to put into play. It's not just about selfishness, it's what's best for me and what I want. I have to think about my family now and it weighs on my mind and heart. So he’s going to play an important role wherever I go,” concluded Harrison.

Currently without a contract with any organization, Kayla won her second title in the PFL lightweight tournament last October after finishing Taylor Guardado. The fighter has an undefeated record of 12 victories in mixed martial arts.
