Despite already being the UFC featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg), Alexander Volkanovsky remains attentive to the division’s movements. At the event that took place last Saturday (13), in Las Vegas (USA), Max Holloway e Yair Rodriguez they fought a five-round battle and, on his social networks, the Australian made a point of congratulating them on the fight, which closed the UFC Las Vegas 42.

“Great fight! Very competitive, good job guys”, wrote Volkanovski on his official Twitter account.

Holloway's victory in the judges' decision may have sealed the trilogy between the athletes. Current champion, Alexander has already beaten the Hawaiian on the two occasions in which they shared the octagon and, even so, Max – who has two consecutive victories – could receive another opportunity against the champion.

Considered, by many, as one of the greatest names in the history of featherweights (up to 65,7kg.), Alexander Volkanovsky has made a name for himself in Ultimate. In his career, so far, there are 23 positive results and only one negative. In fact, in his last fight, which took place in UFC 266, he overcame Brian ortega, also in a 25-minute fight that is considered one of the best of the company's current season.
