Max Holloway and Yair Rodriguez easily pass the scale and confirm battle at UFC Las Vegas 42

Everything is set for the long-awaited fight between Max Holloway e Yair Rodriguez, which takes place this Saturday (13). Protagonists of UFC Las Vegas 42, the featherweights (up to 65,7kg) easily passed the official weigh-in, held this Friday (12). Of the 22 athletes selected, only Joel alvarez e Liana Jojua failed to fulfill their commitment.

One of the best featherweight representatives in recent MMA history, Holloway is ready for his second challenge in the 2021 season. At 66,2kg, the former group champion is trying for his second consecutive triumph.

Back in the Octagon after more than two years of inactivity, Rodriguez will face the biggest challenge of his career to date. Slightly lighter, the Mexican weighed 65,9kg.

Present in the co-main fight, Marcos Foot is another highlight of the event. Athlete from TUF (The Ultimate Fighter) Brazil 3, the heavyweight weighed 117,4kg.

A veteran in the under-120,2kg category, Ben Rothwell was a bit of a scare, but is confirmed for the show. The athlete reached the limit established in the category and is trying to win the second fight in a row.

Brazilian promise in the lightweight division (up to 70,3kg.), Thiago Moses come back after the stumble against Islam makhachev. Defending 15th position in the group, the São Paulo native scored 70,3kg, different from his opponent, Joel alvarez, which failed in the process.
