Cris Cyborg makes weight and confirms fight for third featherweight title defense at Bellator 271

Everything is fine for the show that could confirm the third title defense of Chris Cyborg. This Thursday (11), at the official weigh-in for the show, the Brazilian fulfilled her commitment to the scales and confirmed her fight against Sinead Kavanagh for the featherweight title (up to 65,7kg), which will take place at Bellator 271 this Friday (12), in Florida (USA).

Considered, by many, as one of the great names in the history of women's MMA, Cyborg had no problems reaching the heavyweight limit. The first to weigh in, the Brazilian legend looked good and weighed in at 65,7kg. for the dispute.

Responsible for trying to ruin the Brazilian's party and 'shock the world', Kavanagh didn't disappoint either and, some time later, he also weighed 65,7kg.

After almost two years of inactivity, Bruna Ellen is back in the Bellator cage. Representative of 'Team Nogueira', the Brazilian is trying to recover from her defeat to champion Ju Velásquez and, at the weigh-in, weighed in at 56,9kg. Desiree Yanez, in turn, weighed in at 56,8kg. to confirm the last fight on the preliminary card.

Fight canceled

Responsible for the third combat of the Bellator 271, Jordan Newman and Shane O'Shea were expected in scouting. Newman even fulfilled his commitment and weighed 85kg, exceeding the limit established in the middleweight category. Without much explanation, however, O'Shea didn't even appear on the scale and the fight was canceled from the card.
