Jon Jones opens up about a troubled moment, but bets on divine intervention to evolve

In a turbulent time in his personal life, Jon Jones He decided to vent about his current condition. Arrested in September, accused of domestic violence, and expelled from 'Jackson Wink MMA', the fighter showed his Christian side to ensure his recovery. Legend of mixed martial arts, the athlete is betting on divine intervention to turn things around.

“Yes, I am a Christian and I make hypocritical decisions. Yes, I fail, I stumble. I'm a mess, but God's mess. He can turn a mess into a work of art,” wrote Jon, on his account on Instagram.

Considered by many to be the best MMA fighter of all time, Jones hasn't performed in almost two years. His last fight took place in February 2020, when he defended, for the last time, his old UFC light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) belt in the victory over Dominick reyes.

Months after winning the UFC 247, 'Bones' publicly announced that he would abdicate the throne of the under-93kg category. and would dedicate itself to the migration to heavy weights (up to 120,2kg.). The initial plan was an immediate title fight against the champion, but differences regarding salaries prevented the negotiation from being completed.

Today, Jon continues to dedicate himself to gaining muscle mass to face his opponents in the 120,2kg group. Outside of 'Jackson Wink MMA', the gym he defended for more than 10 years, the athlete remains without a team and plans to return to the octagon only in 2022.
