Chael Sonnen became known in Brazil for the provocative content with which he refers to Anderson Silva, the main star of national MMA. Whenever he can, the North American releases a provocation or catchphrase aimed at Spider or a friend of the UFC middleweight champion.
Although the trash talking, Sonnen also knows how to be serious. The former middleweight and light heavyweight challenger, in a comment made on the weekly UFC Tonight program, on FUEL TV, made a technical analysis of Anderson's next commitment. The Brazilian star will face Chris Weidman at UFC 162, on July 6th. According to Sonnen, the most dangerous opponent Spider has ever faced in the UFC.

“He (Weidman) is, without a doubt, the toughest opponent Silva has ever faced,” Sonnen said on the program. “There’s a reason why Anderson didn’t take this fight sooner. It wasn't for lack of popular appeal. Chris Weidman has the perfect skill set to beat Silva. And he also has the right mentality. Weidman really wants this fight and has been involved in big fights”, continued the American.

Precisely because he values Weidman's skills, Sonnen said he will surrender to the Brazilian if Anderson defends his belt at UFC 162. “Weidman has more weapons than I do to submit from the top and even so I had the advantage for several minutes in the fight against Silva .
