Minotauro accepts Struve's challenge: “The bigger they are, the harder they fall”

Recovering from arm surgery, Minotauro is thinking about facing the Dutchman in December

Minotauro should face Cheick Kongo at UFC 149The defeat for Fabricio Werdum left Rodrigo Minotauro even further away from a new UFC title fight. Despite the setback, the Bahian is still the target of several UFC heavyweights. This Tuesday, the Dutch giant Stefan struve said he would like to face the Brazilian.

“One fight I’ve always wanted to do is with Big Nog,” Struve told Bleacher Report about his desire to face Minotauro. “I would still love to do this fight. I think it makes a lot of sense now since we are both coming off defeat. This is a fight I would definitely love to be involved in.”

On this Tuesday's edition of the UFC Tonight program, on the American channel FUEL TV, reporter Ariel Helwani reported that he spoke with Minotauro and the Brazilian accepted the challenge of facing the Dutchman. According to Helwani, the surgery on Minotauro's arm was a success and the former interim champion is thinking about facing Struve in December. Regarding Struve, Minotaur stated:

Having lost the last fight is not the only current similarity between Struve and Minotauro. The defeats resulted in surgeries for both. While Rodrigo had problems with his arm ligament, Struve fractured his jaw in the knockout suffered against Mark Hunt.
