The moment caught the attention of the featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg.) Chris Cyborg. Experienced in mixed martial arts, the Brazilian gave her opinion on the phase that Shields is going through and believes that the American has to 'keep her head up' to overcome the frustration of her first setback and turn her career around.

“Keep your head up Claressa. I love how you are young, brave and not afraid to challenge yourself. The way you are inspiring an entire generation of women to not be afraid of greatness is what makes you so powerful!” Chris Cyborg, on his official account on 'Twitter'.

At PFL 10, Shields returned to the Octagon just months after winning in his professional MMA debut. Against Montes, the boxer once again showed deficiencies in grappling and was unable to achieve her high-level striking. Easy prey to Abigail's takedowns, Claressa produced little in the duel. After 15 minutes, the combatant ended up defeated in a split decision by the judges.
