Controlled and finalized by Glover Teixeira in the main fight of UFC 267, Jan Blachowicz showed sportsmanship to deal with the defeat. Moments after the stumble that cost him the light heavyweight belt (up to 93kg) last Saturday (30), the Pole took to social media and vented about the setback.

“Today, I left the legendary Polish power in the hotel room. Congratulations to Glover, who won fair and square. It was deserved,” wrote Jan.

After losing the category throne in his second title defense, Blachowicz avoided regretting the negative result. The fighter, whose streak of five consecutive victories ended, promised to turn things around.

“Remember that the last pages of my story have not yet been written. Thank you everyone for your support,” he concluded.

No UFC 267, Blachowicz ended up being an easy prey to the perfect strategy outlined by Teixeira. After being dominated in the first round, it was in the second stage that the Pole found defeat, being submitted with a choke from the Minas Gerais native.
