It's from Brazil! At 42 years old, Glover Teixeira made history in the main fight of UFC 26, held this Saturday (30), in Abu Dhabi. Underdog in the betting shops, the miner was not aware of Jan Blachowicz and put a perfect strategy into practice. With sharp jiu-jitsu, the Tupiniquim put on a show and submitted the Pole in the second round, and is now the new light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg).

The fight

As the minutes passed, the Brazilian made clear his strategy of taking the duel to the ground. Halfway through the round, the Pole struck a cross from the Tupiniquim. The Pole responded in kind and, after an exciting exchange of blows, the Minas Gerais native managed to take down his opponent. The Brazilian got the mount. Blachowicz turned his back and the Brazilian secured the rear naked choke. Jan couldn't handle the pressure of the position and withdrew.
