Khamzat Shimaev is back. In his first appearance in the Ultimate Octagon after dealing with complications from COVID-19, the Swede put on a real show and 'blacked out' li jingliang via rear-naked choke in the first round, in a duel valid for UFC 267 this Saturday (30). In the fight, the Swede was not even hit.

Considered, by many, as the biggest promise in Ultimate today, Chimaev remains undefeated in his career. Professional since 2018, he scored his tenth victory in the series.
Jingliang, in turn, once again feels the 'bitter taste' of the setback in the company. The veteran has a record of 18 wins and seven losses in his professional career.
The fight
Known for ending his fights quickly, Khamzat Shimaev showed the same offensive impetus to take down li jingliang in the opening seconds.
In a dominant position, the Russian born in Sweden applied good left hooks close to the fence, passed to the back, spread the chicken of li jingliang and applied a rear naked choke until he erased the Chinese man in the Octagon.

In a fight valid for the light heavyweight division (up to 93kg.), Magomed Ankalayev confirmed his favoritism and, in frank striking, managed to land the best blows to beat Volkan oezdemir in the unanimous decision of the judges (30-27, 30-27, 29-28). The duel opened the main card of the UFC 267.
Pointed out, by many, as one of the possible contenders for the light heavyweight title (up to 93kg.) in the future, Ankalaev scored his seventh victory in a row. The Russian now has a series of 15 wins and just one setback as an MMA professional.
Oezdemir, who competed for the category belt in 2018, suffered his second setback in a series. In his record, the Swiss has 17 positive results and six negative results in his career.
