Elizeu Capoeira wins 'war' against French debutant at UFC 267

Even with a point taken away by the referee, the Brazilian welterweight won the fight with a unanimous decision from the judges

Second Brazilian to take action in UFC 267, Elizeu Capoeira faced the newcomer Benoit Saint-Denis in the fifth fight of the preliminary card. The Brazilian and the Frenchman waged a real war inside the Octagon. Despite having a point taken away due to two illegal strikes, Elizeu emerged victorious in the judges' unanimous decision (29-26, 29-26, 29-26).

THE FIGHT

After the second illegal blow, the Brazilian ended up having a point taken away by the referee. Elizeu attempted a blitz in the final seconds, but there was no time for anything else.
