After suffering her first defeat as a professional in MMA and being publicly provoked by Jake Paul, Claressa shields It didn't come cheap. Shields' statement didn't stop there. Starting her career in mixed martial arts, the multiple world boxing champion justified her defeat and also analyzed her test in the new modality.
“I lost on a split decision. I didn't get my ass kicked and I also evolved. All I'm going to do is go back and keep learning. Nobody said this journey would be easy. MMA is new to me and I'm fighting at a world level after just nine months of training”, he clarified.
Finally, Claressa didn't miss the opportunity to 'poke' the youtuber, who has been gaining more and more notoriety with his boxing superfights. The boxer mocked the challenges posed by the internet phenomenon.
“Unlike Jake, I faced a real MMA fighter and he hasn’t faced a real boxer yet,” he concluded.
With the stumble in PFL 10, Shields now has a record with one triumph and one negative result. It is not yet known when the fighter's next test will be.
