On the eve of UFC 267, an event held in Abu Dhabi (USA), the organization suffered a major loss. One of the biggest names in Ultimate, Bruce Buffer tested positive for COVID-19 and will not announce the fighters at this Saturday's event (31). Joe Martínez, who works as the organization's announcer in 'Fight Nights', will be his replacement.

The information was released by president Dana White, at a press conference to promote the card, held this Thursday. According to the agent, Buffer contracted the new coronavirus and remained in the United States at rest. Coincidentally, it is the first numbered event Buffer has not performed at since 1997. His presence at UFC 268 of November 6th is also uncertain.
