The second edition of Web Fight Combat, scheduled for July 7th at Barra Musica, a popular music venue in Rio de Janeiro, suffered a considerable loss in its fight program. Jessica Stacker, who would be in the main fight of the night against Ana Maria India, was hired by the UFC and forced to leave the card. But the show's organizers acted quickly and called up Bete Tavares, from the RFT team, to compete for the women's under-61kg belt. Now, former UFC athlete Pedro Nobre and Eduardo Kiko will take part in the main duel of the night, for the 57kg belt.
To close the card, four more fights were announced by the organization. In the middleweight division, Kleber Orgulho will face the experienced Danilo Motosserra, who will see his Nova União teammates Hernani Perpétuo and Giovani Diniz face off against Sérgio Souza and William Coelho, respectively.
“I am very satisfied and excited about this card, which is certainly one of the best ever seen in Brazil”, says Vava Andrade, former professional fighter and responsible for combining the fights. “The trust that athletes of this caliber place in our event makes us sure that we are on the right path. The public will be surprised by the number of high-profile clashes. Nobody chose an opponent and they will have to work hard to come away with victory in Web Fight Combat.”
