After the controversy surrounding his weight cut for the UFC Las Vegas 41, Paulo borrachinha managed to deliver a good show, at least that's Dana White's opinion. In the press conference after the battle between the Brazilian and Marvin vettori, the president of Ultimate avoided criticizing the Minas Gerais native, who ended up defeated on points in a light heavyweight clash (up to 93kg).

“We don’t know what happened. He arrived and did what he did. That said, he delivered everything that night. At the end of the first round, I had doubts whether he would reach the end of the second stage, due to his physical conditioning. He fought hard,” Dana said.

Impressed with Paulo's performance, White once again expressed surprise. Although the athlete was not able to perform at middleweight (up to 83,9kg), for the president the problem was not physical preparation.

“Costa (Borrachinha) was better in the fifth round than in the first. He was in shape. When a guy comes in heavy like that (during fight week), you have to question whether he was in shape or not,” he concluded.
