José Rodrigo “Dragão” Guelke from Paraná will be the next opponent of Aleksander Emelianenko, brother of the legend Fedor Emelianenko. According to information published on the website Fight.com, the clash, valid in the heavyweight category, will take place on July 4th, at PRO FC, in Moscow (Russia).
Rodrigo, who originally plays in the under-93 kg division, has had four consecutive defeats, all in events held on Brazilian soil. In his career, “Dragão” has a record of 15 wins and nine losses.
For Aleksander, the fight against Rodrigo will be the second after his return from retirement. The Russian had announced the end of his career at the end of last year, after defeat to Jeff Monson. However, Emelianenko returned to the ring on May 25th, in his home country, with a lightning victory over the giant Bob Sapp.
